Vishwajyoti Ghosh is a graphic novelist, artist and visual storyteller whose work moves across comics, writing, editorial illustration and long-form narrative. Working at the intersection of image and text, he explores themes of memory, politics, urban life, and the shifting textures of contemporary India.
He is the author of Delhi Calm and Times New Roman and Countrymen, and the curator/ editor of This Side That Side: Restorying Partition. His work has been widely recognised for its distinctive visual language and its engagement with history, public culture, and everyday experience.
In a multi-hyphenated world, his practice also explores possibilities of collaborating with poets, writers, academicians, educators and as many voices from the streets and fields. His podcast Kissa Stories is a small endeavour in this direction.
Over the years, his drawings, essays, and graphic narratives have appeared in leading publications and anthologies across the world.
His current practice is increasingly focused on narrative as a civic and cultural form—using visual storytelling to open up conversations around identity, memory, democracy, and the lived realities of contemporary society. Through books, collaborative projects, and public-facing work, he continues to explore how stories can create spaces for reflection, dialogue, and explore diverse ways of visual storytelling.
